Backoffice script execution via unescaped localization arguments

Cross-site scripting in affected Umbraco CMS 14 and 15 releases allows remote authenticated users to execute script in the backoffice. UmbLocalizationController.term inserts user-controlled localization arguments into translated HTML without first escaping HTML entities. Exploitation requires backoffice access and another user to view an affected localized component, allowing script to read or modify data available to that browser session.
