CVE-2025-24010Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Source-code disclosure via permissive dev-server validation

Published Jan 20, 2025 · Updated Jan 21, 2025

Origin validation errors in Vite before 4.5.6, 5.0.0 through 5.4.11, and 6.0.0 through 6.0.8 allow remote attackers to read source. The dev server returns Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * by default, accepts WebSocket handshakes without validating Origin, and accepts HTTP Host values that enable DNS rebinding. A victim must visit an attacker-controlled page; even a loopback-only dev server is exposed, while browser and HTTPS conditions limit the DNS-rebinding path.
