Subscriber-level demo data insertion via unchecked capability
Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Chamber Dashboard Business Directory 3.3.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to add demo data. The cdash_add_demo_data() handler processes the request without a capability check and invokes the plugin's demo-content insertion path. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and exploitation inserts demo records into the WordPress site's stored directory data.
