CVE-2025-23898Network attack vector

Stored XSS via forged privileged request

Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Apply with LinkedIn buttons 2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to store script via a crafted request. Published records do not identify the affected handler or input field; they only state that the plugin accepts a forged request that stores an XSS payload. Exploitation requires a privileged user with an active WordPress session to interact with attacker-controlled content, after which the stored script executes in later page views.
