Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in linickx root Cookie 1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts via forged requests. An unnamed settings-update function omits or performs incorrect WordPress nonce validation, accepting attacker-chosen settings and script content. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow a crafted link or otherwise submit the forged request, after which stored script executes for site visitors.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
