Stored XSS via forged settings requests
Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Flying Twitter Birds 1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to store scripts through a forged settings request. The plugin's settings-update handler accepts state-changing input without validating a WordPress nonce and stores attacker-supplied script content. An administrator must be induced to submit the forged request; the stored script then executes in visitors' browsers.
