Script execution via reflected unsanitized input
Published Jan 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in the MACME WordPress plugin 1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts after a user opens a crafted link. Published records attribute the flaw to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping but do not identify the affected parameter, route, or function. Exploitation requires user interaction; injected script runs in the visitor's browser under the affected site's origin, enabling access to data and actions available to that session.
