Video disclosure via unauthenticated HTTP and RTSP
Published Mar 16, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025
Incorrect access control in IROAD Dash Cam FX2 20250308 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve recordings over local Wi-Fi. The HTTP server serves files under /mnt/extsd/event/ without authentication, while the RTSP service on port 8554 likewise exposes live footage. An attacker must first join the dash camera's local Wi-Fi network; access reveals stored video files and live streams without changing device state.
