CVE-2025-2346Network attack vector

Traffic interception via unregistered internal domain

Published Mar 16, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Origin validation errors in IROAD X5 and X6 firmware 20250308 expose device traffic to interception through an unregistered domain. The Domain Handler uses an unregistered public domain for internal naming, allowing Internet DNS to direct device or related-service traffic to an attacker-controlled host. Exploitation requires registration of that domain and external rather than local resolution; the exposed traffic and default routing conditions are undisclosed.
