CVE-2025-2345Network attack vector

Device sabotage via unchecked settings authorization

Published Mar 16, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Improper authorization in IROAD X5 and X6 20250308 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter security and power settings. The settings controls accept requests from unauthorized clients connected to the dashcam network, enabling alert muting, recording disablement, factory reset, and battery-protection disablement. Network access to the dashcam is required; successful actions expose car and driver data, erase configuration, stop recording, or drain the vehicle battery.
