CVE-2025-23417Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated reboot via Modbus register write

Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025

Denial of service in Socomec DIRIS Digiware M-70 1.6.9 allows remote attackers to reboot the gateway through its Modbus RTU over TCP service. On TCP port 503, function code 6 writes value 178 to register 57856, and the unauthenticated write invokes the device's reboot mechanism. Network reachability to the service is sufficient; successful exploitation interrupts the gateway and its power-monitoring communications until it restarts.
