CVE-2025-23415Network attack vector

VPN policy bypass via unverified endpoint data

Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Authentication bypass in affected F5 BIG-IP APM 15.1, 16.1, and 17.1 releases allows attackers to evade VPN endpoint inspection checks. Access Policy endpoint inspection insufficiently verifies the authenticity of client posture data; F5 has not disclosed the specific verification failure. Exploitation requires user interaction through a browser network access VPN connection, and the bounded impact is acceptance of a client that should fail posture checks.
