CVE-2025-23408Network attack vector

Account compromise via weak password acceptance

Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025

Weak password requirements in Apache Fineract 1.10.1 and earlier allow remote authenticated users to set readily guessable account credentials. Apache's public advisory and 1.11.0 release record identify a password-policy update but do not disclose the validation locus or the missing checks. Exploitation requires an account that can set or change its password; weak credentials expose that account's authorized banking data and functions to remote guessing attacks.
