CVE-2025-23403

Privilege escalation via weak registry permissions

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Incorrect registry permissions in Siemens SIMATIC IPC DiagBase and DiagMonitor allow local users to escalate privileges. An undisclosed product registry key grants ordinary users rights that let them configure and load known-vulnerable kernel drivers. Exploitation requires an authenticated local account and a suitable vulnerable driver, and can yield elevated code execution or disable endpoint protections.
