Application crash via reused variadic argument list

Heap-based buffer overflow in Matio 1.5.28 allows context-dependent attackers to crash a consuming application via a crafted MAT file. The src/io.c strdup_vprintf function reuses a va_list after sizing formatted output, so subsequent formatting reads beyond the heap buffer while reporting malformed compressed data. The file must be opened by software linked to the library; the published reproducer demonstrates an out-of-bounds read and process termination, not code execution.
