CVE-2025-23356

Local code execution via SB3 configuration eval

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Code injection in NVIDIA Isaac Lab before 2.2.1 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted SB3 YAML configuration. The process_sb3_cfg function passes string values from sb3_ppo_cfg.yaml to Python eval(), allowing configuration content to run as code rather than limiting it to approved torch.nn symbols. The attacker must supply or modify a configuration parsed by Isaac Lab; code runs with the process's privileges and can read or alter its data or crash the job.
