Code execution via malicious ELF parsing
Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit before 13.0 allows attackers to execute code through a malicious ELF file. The cuobjdump ELF-processing path overruns a stack buffer while handling attacker-controlled file contents; NVIDIA has not disclosed the affected function. Execution requires a user to run cuobjdump on the file, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
