Administrative takeover of the HMC
Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Sep 17, 2025
Access-control weakness in NVIDIA HGX and DGX GB200, GB300, and B300 HMC firmware allows attackers to gain HMC administrator access. NVIDIA has not published the affected HMC interface, request path, or operation that improperly trusts the BMC administrative context. Administrative access on the BMC is required; successful exploitation grants HMC administrative control and enables code execution, service interruption, privilege escalation, information disclosure, and data tampering.
