Code injection in the tools component of NVIDIA Megatron-LM before 0.12.2 allows local users to execute code with the training process's privileges. NVIDIA has not published the affected file, function, input, or unsafe code-generation operation beyond identifying the tools component. Exploitation requires low local privileges and can expose or alter data or take control of the process; no user interaction is required.
