VBIOS misconfiguration in NVIDIA HGX and DGX allows local users to interrupt service by setting an unsafe debug access level. The firmware assigns an unsafe debug access level to an internal asset, exposing it to an untrusted debug agent; NVIDIA has not disclosed the exact asset or state transition. Hopper HGX and DGX 1.7.1 and earlier and Blackwell HGX and DGX 1.2.0 and earlier are exposed only to local low-privileged users under high-complexity conditions, with no user interaction.
