CVE-2025-23297

Local privilege escalation via modifiable installer files

Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025

Incorrect permissions in NVIDIA App before 11.0.5.245 allow local users to gain elevated privileges during FrameViewSDK installation. The Windows installer permits unprivileged modification of files in the FrameView SDK directory during installation. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access; NVIDIA does not identify the replaceable files or privileged execution path.
