CVE-2025-23274

Denial of service via overflowing array indexes

Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in NVIDIA nvJPEG before 13.0.0 allows local users to interrupt service via a crafted input image. During JPEG encoding, image dimensions can overflow integer array-index calculations, causing the encoder to read beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires local authenticated access and crafted dimensions; NVIDIA reports denial of service but does not specify whether the encoder hangs or crashes.
