Guest privilege escalation and VLAN service interruption
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 24, 2025
Incorrect execution-assigned permissions in NVIDIA DOCA-Host and Mellanox OFED allow guest OS users to elevate privileges and disrupt a VLAN. The VGT+ feature assigns incorrect permissions during execution, but NVIDIA has not disclosed the affected operation or attacker-controlled input. Reachability requires a low-privileged guest VM, VGT+ enabled, and the host eSwitch in Legacy mode; impact is limited to VGT+ and includes VLAN service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
