CVE-2025-23253

Service interruption via hard-coded DLL path

Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

DLL hijacking in NVIDIA App 11.0.2.337 (prod2 hotfix) and earlier allows local users to interrupt NvContainer via a malicious DLL. NvContainer's OpenSSL integration loads a DLL from a fixed filesystem path without establishing that the library is trusted. Exploitation requires local file placement, user interaction, and high-complexity conditions; the published vector supports only limited service interruption.
