CVE-2025-2324Network attack vector

Folder listing via write-only shared accounts

Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025

Improper privilege management in Progress MOVEit Transfer allows remote authenticated users to list protected folder contents via SFTP. The SFTP module returns directory entries to a Shared Account assigned write-only folder access, bypassing the intended prohibition on listing existing files. Exposure requires an authenticated Shared Account with write-only access and affects 2023.1.0 through 2023.1.11, 2024.0.0 through 2024.0.7, and 2024.1.0 through 2024.1.1; the documented consequence is filename disclosure, not file reading or modification.
