Command injection in F5 BIG-IP 17.1.1 allows remote authenticated users with a highly privileged role to cross a security boundary. An undisclosed iControl REST endpoint fails to neutralize special elements in command input before invoking a system command. Exploitation requires Appliance mode and a highly privileged account, and permits unauthorized reading or modification across that boundary without reported service interruption.
