CVE-2025-23213Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unrestricted HTML and SVG uploads

Published Jan 28, 2025 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Stored XSS in Tandoor Recipes before 1.5.28 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when another user opens an uploaded file. The user-file serializer accepted attacker-supplied HTML and SVG filenames without an allowlist, so active content was stored and served directly. Any low-privileged user can upload the payload, but a victim must request it directly; an administrator's session can then be abused.
