CVE-2025-23199Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped port description

Published Jan 16, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Stored XSS in LibreNMS before 24.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser through a port description. The generate_overlib_content function concatenates descr-derived text into an overlib span without HTML escaping. Low-privileged access is required to save the description, and execution occurs when another user opens the Ports tab or hovers over the modified port value, enabling browser-context actions or data disclosure.
