Remote code execution via nonce-free admin request
Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in EZ SQL Reports Shortcode Widget and DB Backup 4.11.13 through 5.25.08 allows remote attackers to execute server code. ELISQLREPORTS_menu accepts state-changing report form submissions without validating a WordPress nonce, allowing attacker-controlled content to reach the plugin's code-execution path. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to submit the forged request, after which attacker-selected code runs on the server.
