Unauthenticated code execution via exposed websockify service
Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Improper access control in Versa Director allows remote attackers to execute code through the websockify service on TCP port 6080. The default configuration exposes websockify directly to the internet instead of limiting it to the authenticated Director GUI. Versa has not disclosed the specific websockify weakness or crafted input used to reach code execution; exposure of port 6080 is the required gate.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=21.2.2 <=21.2.2
