Cross-site scripting in MediaWiki OpenBadges on affected branches before 1.39.11, 1.41.3, or 1.42.2 allows remote attackers to run script. Wikimedia identifies Special:BadgeView as the locus, but its public record and release notice do not disclose which input reaches output without neutralization. Network access without authentication is sufficient, and the published assessment limits the consequence to disclosure within the browser context.
