Browser script execution via unescaped system messages
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jan 13, 2025
Cross-site scripting in ArticleFeedbackv5 1.42.x before 1.42.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser. Multiple feedback and activity views insert localized or administrator-edited system messages into HTML-rendering paths without neutralizing markup. Affected deployments also include 1.39.x before 1.39.11 and 1.41.x before 1.41.3; exploitation requires a user to load the affected interface.
