Profile disclosure via omitted visibility filtering
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Information disclosure in SocialProfile allows remote authenticated users to read restricted profile fields through Special:EditProfile. SpecialEditProfile renders stored field values without first filtering them through SPUserSecurity::getVisibleFields. Access requires the editothersprofiles right; fields marked hidden, friends, or friends of friends are exposed when the editor lacks the corresponding relationship.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
