CVE-2025-23051Network attack vector

Arbitrary file overwrite via parameter injection

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 23, 2025

Parameter injection in the AOS-8 and AOS-10 web management interface allows remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary system files. HPE identifies parameter injection as the cause but has not disclosed the affected request, handler, or missing validation that permits attacker-selected file paths. Administrative authentication is required, and the published detail establishes arbitrary file overwrite rather than direct command execution.
