Browser script execution via unescaped msg_e reflection
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Reflected XSS in WeGIA before 3.2.7 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted msg_e URL. The pre_cadastro_funcionario.php endpoint reads msg_e from the query string and inserts it unescaped into an HTML alert response. Exploitation requires a victim to open the attacker-controlled URL; resulting script runs in the WeGIA origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
