Privilege chaining in BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Management for Windows before 25.4.270.0 allows local users to become administrators. The challenge-response cache accepts illegitimate auto-elevation codes inserted through editable user profile files into the per-user local registry. Exploitation requires an authenticated user who can edit the relevant profile files and a policy that uses forever challenge-response auto-elevation permissions.
