Credential disclosure via exposed database backup URLs
Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Information disclosure in GatesAir Maxiva UAXT and VAXT transmitters allows remote attackers to retrieve credential databases over HTTP. The web management interface serves snapshot_users.db from /logs/devcfg/snapshot/ and /logs/devcfg/user/ without enforcing access control. No authentication is required; the exposed backup contains login data that enables unauthorized administrative access and broader device compromise.
