CVE-2025-2295Network attack vector

BIOS memory disclosure via R2T integer overflow

Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Integer overflow in TianoCore EDK II NetworkPkg through edk2-stable202502 allows remote attackers to disclose BIOS memory via crafted R2T PDUs. IScsiOnR2TRcvd adds two attacker-controlled 32-bit header values without an overflow check, allowing a wrapped sum to pass bounds validation and advance the output-data pointer beyond its buffer. Exploitation requires control of the configured iSCSI target and user interaction; exposed memory is returned in Data-Out PDUs, while the CNA also reports service interruption.
