CVE-2025-22885

Privilege escalation via improper firmware buffer restrictions

Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026

Improper buffer restrictions in Intel TDX Module firmware allow local users with system-software privileges to escalate privilege. Intel has not disclosed the affected buffer, code path, or the operation that fails to constrain buffer access. Exploitation requires privileged local system-software access and high attack complexity; it can expose confidential data and alter protected state without interrupting service.
