Code execution via unchecked heap-buffer copy
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Heap-based buffer overflow in Delta Electronics CNCSoft-G2 2.1.0.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted file. Its file-parsing logic copies attacker-controlled data into a fixed-length heap buffer without first validating the data length. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and resulting code runs in the context of the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
