Unauthenticated file write via traversal upload path
Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Relative path traversal in Fortinet FortiClient EMS 7.4.0 through 7.4.1 allows remote attackers to write limited files via upload requests. Upload handling fails to constrain a supplied relative path to the intended directory, permitting a file write outside that location. No credentials or user interaction are required, but the write is limited and no code execution or data disclosure is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
