CVE-2025-2285

Local code execution via uninitialized pointer

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Uninitialized-pointer access in Rockwell Automation Arena 16.20.08 and earlier allows local users to execute code via a malicious DOE file. The DOE file parser insufficiently validates file data before accessing an uninitialized pointer. A legitimate user must open the crafted file; successful exploitation can also disclose information or crash the application.
