CVE-2025-22839

Privilege escalation via coarse OOB-MSM access controls

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Access-control weakness in Intel Xeon 6 processor OOB-MSM allows privileged adjacent users to escalate privileges. OOB-MSM applies access controls with insufficient granularity, but Intel has not disclosed the protected resource, operation, or request path receiving unauthorized access. Exploitation requires high privileges, adjacent access, high complexity, and additional attack conditions; success crosses an out-of-band management privilege boundary.
