Stored browser script execution via unsanitized CGI input
Published Mar 16, 2026 · Updated Mar 16, 2026
Stored XSS in Forcepoint Web Security On-prem 8.5.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through block-page CGI endpoints. The /cgi-bin/blockOptions.cgi and /cgi-bin/blockpage.cgi handlers store user input without sanitizing it before later page generation. An attacker must reach the adjacent network and induce a user to load the stored content, enabling browser-side data access or changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
