CVE-2025-2268Network attack vector

Service interruption via malformed IPP request

Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025

Improper data-type handling in HP LaserJet MFP M232-M237 firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt printing through IPP. HP identifies the locus as the IPP service on port 631 and the input fault as mishandling an unexpected data type, but does not disclose the failing parser operation. Network access to port 631 is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented impact is limited to service interruption.
