CVE-2025-2265Public exploit

Account takeover via truncated SHA-1 password hashes

Published Mar 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 17, 2025

Weak password hashing in Santesoft Sante PACS Server 4.1.0 allows local users to obtain web-user account access. The SHA-1 routine treats the binary digest as a null-terminated string and Base64-encodes only bytes before the first zero byte into HTTP.db. Exploitation requires access to HTTP.db and a stored truncated hash; a matching password equivalent can then authenticate as that web user.
