CVE-2025-2263Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated service crash via oversized encrypted credentials

Published Mar 13, 2025 · Updated Mar 14, 2025

Stack buffer overflow in Sante PACS Server 4.1.0 allows remote attackers to crash its web server via oversized encrypted login credentials. EVP_DecryptUpdate writes attacker-controlled decrypted data into a fixed 0x80-byte stack output buffer without enforcing its capacity. The request requires no account or user interaction; the published proof of concept demonstrates a connection reset, while code execution is not demonstrated.
