Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unchecked builder action
Published Mar 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in GS Plugins GS Logo Slider 3.7.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary WordPress shortcodes. The shortcode-builder action passes a request-controlled value to do_shortcode without first checking authorization. No account or user interaction is required, and the resulting impact depends on which shortcodes are registered on the WordPress site.
