Remote command execution via unauthorized private-key retrieval
Published Jan 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Missing authorization in Coolify before 4.0.0-beta.374 allows remote authenticated users to read stored private SSH keys in plaintext. The onboarding Livewire component’s selectExistingPrivateKey method retrieves a selected key without checking whether the caller is authorized to access it. When a disclosed key matches a managed server’s host, port, and account configuration, the user can authenticate over SSH and execute arbitrary commands on that server.
