Browser script execution via unsanitized avulso reflection
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
Reflected XSS in WeGIA before 3.2.8 allows remote attackers to run scripts in a victim's browser via the avulso parameter. The configuracao_doacao.php endpoint inserts avulso input into its HTTP response without validation or sanitization, causing browser interpretation as active content. Exploitation requires a victim to open an attacker-crafted URL; the script executes in that user's browser context and can read accessible data or perform permitted actions.
